Focus with intention
How to use the focus timer
Choose a focus length, write one realistic intention and start the timer. During the session, keep the page open or place it in full-screen mode. The countdown is based on the actual finishing time, so it remains dependable even when the browser tab is not active.
When the session ends, step away for the suggested break. Stretch, rest your eyes or take a few slow breaths. After the break, return for another session only if it still serves what you are trying to accomplish.
The default focus playlist is delivered through YouTube. Playing it is optional, and the audio bandwidth is not served by Mindset Palette. Your intention, tasks, preferred durations and daily count stay in local browser storage.
Common questions
Focus timer FAQs
What is the Pomodoro technique?
The Pomodoro technique divides work into focused sessions followed by short breaks. A common starting point is 25 minutes of focus and a five-minute break, but this timer lets you choose the rhythm that suits your work.
Does this focus timer require an account?
No. The timer works without registration or login. Your settings, intention, tasks and daily session count are stored only in your current browser.
Will the timer keep working in a background tab?
Yes. The timer calculates against the actual finishing time, helping it remain accurate when the tab is minimized or your browser reduces background activity.
Can I change the focus and break lengths?
Yes. You can set focus and break periods from one to 120 minutes. Your preferred durations are remembered in this browser.
Is my focus information private?
Your intention, tasks and timer settings remain in browser storage on your device. Mindset Palette does not receive them, and they do not sync between devices.
